Whether you are a student or a professional engineer this is the book that should be on your desk or book shelf.
I am an engineer, and I picked up information that I never did understand adequitly. You know how it is when the light turns on and you understand what you had been missing. You feel good.
The thing that sold me on the book is the ability to actually go through two chapters, 1 and 9, as well as additional material on the book's web site. I could actually see what the book was like with such a clear method of explaining the examples.

Not What I expected..the title that is.

The Book was used. That was fine. But the book itself was a major letdown. You can easily get the ''application'' part through any trig, precalc, and calculas books with just a little critical thinking. I was looking for real life application, as in, pictures things that are practical. Being that I am a staunch visual thinker this book was useless. Don't buy it if you've never seen a precalc book or calc book.
