JJ Polk, PhD, completed his post-doctoral teaching credentials in the UK with an UCLES Diploma. A former CELTA tutor and IELTS examiner, Polk has lived and taught in Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. He now teaches at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and is especially interested in interdisciplinary perspectives on pragmatics in communication.
