Not Recommended

Would not recommend this read to others. It is just too filled with graphics and pictures. The author probably knows what he is trying to express but is unable to convey that in this publication. I was looking for a way to put concepts to work and I did not find it here. Not my recommendation for a read or application.

makes perfect sense

Interestingly, back in the old days of strength training, this was an incorporated method of exercise. Somehow along the way it became normal to do full reps. In my experience holding a weight dormant while the muscle is contracted fatiques the muscle much faster than the traditional "pump". I have been doing traditional full-rep weight lifting for years, and when I switched to static training I saw an immediate surge in strength. People in the gym will look at you like you don't know what you're doing but in my opinion they are wasting their time. I do agree with some of the reviews of the pictured exercises listed. It simply does not show enough. Try doing traditional chin-ups this way, or even traditional push-ups. How about dips? After several second your arms will begin to tremble. It works wonders. One of the keys is to remember to take plenty of time off between workouts until you feel fully recovered. Good luck.

Incredible Muscle Gains!

The Static Contraction workout is the best workout that I have ever done. I have gained tremendous results from using the Power Factor system, but even greater results from the Static Contraction System. The book is straight forward and very informative on the results of static training. Static strength does indeed transfer over to full-range strength, which I have found out from my own personal experience. After only 8 weeks on the program I have gained 15 lbs. of solid muscle. I know for a fact that it was muscle because before I began the program I had my body weight and body fat percentage taken. Eight weeks later, after keeping a steady diet (as always) I weighed in 15 lbs more than I did 8 weeks ago, and my body fat percentage was 2%lower. My strength increased, and flexiblity was the same (due to stronger ligaments). For me, lifting weights once a week is all that is needed to increase my size and strength. Static Contraction Training is by far, the best book ever written on body building and strength training.

Dr.�Sahay�has obtained his�Ph.D.�from Indian Institute of Technology�Delhi. He has been�to Germany (1997) and Japan (1994) under Fellowship Programmes. His teaching, research and consulting interests include logistics and supply chain management, productivity management, business modelling, higher education & accreditation. Dr. Sahay serves on the Editorial Board of journals such as�International Journal of Logistics Management,�Supply Chain Management: An International Journal,Business Process Management Journal�to name a few. He has authored six books and edited thirteen books�in the�area of supply chain management, world class manufacturing, total quality management

and productivity management.�He is a recipient of�the�IIT Delhi Alumni Association Award�and Distinguished Alumnus award.
