This book is as good of a summary of the necessary skills and practices that are essential to contemporary communication design as I have ever seen. I was educated in graphic design in my undergrad by the legacy of modern design and Bauhaus pedagogy, even in the wake of the sweeping technological change that was occurring all around us. This book finally catches up on a curriculum and approach that would make sense for today. After working professionally as a graphic designer for 5 years, I'm currently enrolled in a graduate program for media design. This book tells that graphic design is just the beginning, but a very necessary foundation for all kinds of design practices that our dynamic world requires.This book represent a fairly off the shelf curriculum that would serve any designer(beginner to advanced) well to follow. All that would be left is years to practice... Very Nice!

Love this book! Bought it for one of my brothers who is interested in going to the field. To benefit from this book though, you need to have an art b.g. My sibling does, but isn't familiar with what graphic design as done in the digital field.

Another great thing about this book: It covers everything fully in plain words, including the business side of graphic design (e.g, setting prices, software programs used in this field, etc.)

A great introduction to anyone interested in becoming a graphic artist!

A Spicy Introduction

Love this! Elise is that perfect balance between sassy and sincere. I love curvy heroines, and if the story stays on point, I have a feeling she'll be a new favorite. She's a private investigator who used to be a detective. It sounds like she was on the fast track to a stellar career, so I can't wait to find out what happened! I love that Locke makes her vulnerable-- he finds all the chinks in her armor!

Jameson Locke. He's handsome, he's suave, and he gets what he wants. There's a lot of mystery surrounding him. I'm looking forward to peeling back those Locke layers as the story moves forward. He's hosting an Auction that features a very expensive ruby, and this novella ends right as things get exciting, so prepare yourself for a cliffhanger.

I like my billionaires alpha and their women curvy. This novella hits the nail on the head. The end of this begins to really build the suspense. It's going to be another solid billionaire serial, with twists, turns, and a lot of BDSM sex, I think. Which, of course, means I'll be eagerly waiting for the next release!

Great series!

This has kind of an old-school feel. A bit noir with a twist. Myra Song has managed to capture the Alpha Billionaire serial well, but make it new for me. It was a satisfying read. Like most serials, this creates more questions than answers, but I have to say-- my favorite "surprise" was discovering what Elise's father did to get in jail. Locke, too, has kind of a cloudy past that seems at odds with the face he's putting forward. This story is told from both points of view, which I really love. I'm "Locked In" to this series, for sure!

A good purchase to test your knowledge and learn a thing or two at the same time.

I purchased this book as another resource to help me through paramedic class. This series of book offers pediatric, medical, and trauma cases. We have not yet covered any of these topics extensively, however I picked up the trauma version as it was the lowest priced on amazon to see if I'd be willing to spend the money on the others in the series. This book starts off by giving you the scenario as if you're being dispatched to a call, it then asks you questions your considerations and treatment throughout the duration of the call from the time of dispatch to when the patient is at the hospital. The book provides you with all of the information you would obtain throughout your assessment and asks you questions about the patient's condition, suspected injuries, treatments, etc. It's literally as if you're on scene of the call. After each scenario are detailed answers to all of the questions which were asked followed by a very informative summary of the incident. All in all you're getting 20 different trauma situations in this book from routine dispatches to mass casualty incidents. I would highly recommend this book as an additional resource to help you not only in paramedic class, but to refine your mental skills on a trauma and maybe give you consideration of a few things you may not have thought about while on similar calls while out on the trucks. I wouldn't recommend this as a primary study book as it will not give you all of the neccessary knowledge to nail every trauma question on the national registry test, but as a way to test your knowledge for the real world, while boosting your trauma score on the registry test.

My students love it

I bought this book for my paramedic students to use during open lab/study hall(usually one or two students at time). They love it. Once the word got out about the book several of them purchased it for themselves, along with the Medical Case Studies For the Paramedic book. All our medic students have street EMT exprience and say the book is as close as you can get to real life simluations without actually jumping on the back of an ambulance and heading to the scene. I usually set up the truama mannequins for the medics-to-be to 'treat' as they work through the scenarios in the book. It's the perfect compliment to what they are taught in class and in their practical laboratory classes. One student said "It helps me cement what I have learned".

Nope, not for me.

Not my cup of tea. I did a more detailed review on my blog, but here's the short summary of my impression:

As a female dominant, this was a huge turn off. I never really felt any love or chemistry from this- it was more about the idea of a fantasy dominatrix who exists to make men feel humiliated and submissive, than anything about female power or satisfaction. Our protagonist, Kelly, had the personality of a shark and I never got the impression she valued her partner in the least.

That's the real problem about *being* a female dom- the porn sells us as angry, entitled lunatics (spoiled? the marketing copy calls the heroine spoiled?!) and never seems to touch on why we might want or like male subs. Rather the reverse, as this book does, the more submissive Christopher becomes, the less Kelly is attracted to him.

Just once I'd like to read a F/m story like this where it didn't sound like the dom was so disgusted by her partner she was going to vomit.

A well written story with despicable characters

If you are into female dominants who despise the men who serve them, or male submissives who take no pride in their service; by all means buy and read this book right now. I prefer dominant women who actually like and care about men. I also like submissive men who have some pride in themselves and in their service.

This book is well written and edited but the female supremacist tone and the characters that I came to despise made for a less than enjoyable read. It's not my cup of tea but if those elements of character and story appeal to you by all means grab this book.

A thrilling ride into submission

This is without a doubt the best piece of female domination erotica I have read. Every sentence seems finely composed and tuned to thrill both mind and body. The author makes it perfectly understandable how Chris is mesmerized, seduced and enslaved by Kelly. His description of her - her thoughts as well as her words and actions - seems to do her inteligence justice. And I have a very clear image of her statuesque body in my mind. A wonderfully cruel and sexy mistress and goddess.

This is a very well written book, and the editing, and attention to detail and nuance, make it a joy to read.

One can only hope there is a Mrs. Lavalle who can - with loving firmness - focus Mr. Lavalle's efforts on finnishing part 2, as a service to all aspiring Godesses and slaves. And the many books to come ...
